Kentucky Wild Cats
The Kentucky Wildcats returned to elite form in the 2009-2010 season, cruising to victory after victory both out of conference and in the SEC. In addition to defeating Vanderbilt (twice) and Tennessee in conference, the Wildcats padded their conference resume with wins over Louisville and Connecticut. Their two losses came in conference, on the road, one to South Carolina and one to Tennessee. Kentucky is led by high-profile guard John Wall, but the team also relies on athletic forwards DeMarcus Cousins and Patrick Peterson to push opponents around on the inside and grab rebounds. Combined, Cousins and Peterson added about 30 points and 18 rebounds a game for the Wildcats this season.

The East Tennessee State Buccaneers are going to find it difficult to get to the second round of the tournament, but they did win the conference tournament and will be hoping that their stars can shine for them on the day.
